An Eastern Meets West Quarry Amphitheatre Wedding
We wanted a good East meets West wedding ceremony. I was born in Australia, yet I am a first-generation Taiwanese-born Australian. I tried to link my wedding to my root base while incorporating important customs from the western culture that individuals grew up in. Not only that, we all also wanted our special event to feel like you were within the bush, maybe somewhere south west, but it’s a hidden place in the city center. This had beach and town views and felt comfortable, like a destination wedding.

Personalizing Their Ceremony By Incorporating Significant Chinese Traditions
We produced our arbor, representing the particular double happiness symbol within Chinese characters. Our celebrant was someone I had identified since I was 12. All of us also personalized and published our own vows. And lastly, there were a separate tea ceremony on return from our photo take before our reception.

The way they Pulled Off Their Fantasy Celebration While Sticking To Their own Budget
We started using a budget we could afford. Right after sourcing pricing for all suppliers, we prioritized what was most significant to us on our big day, renegotiating our other suppliers or doing without to get a cheaper option.

Wedding Information That Served As Nods To Chinese Culture
We all sourced beautiful Chinese lanterns for our reception. We furthermore had a family-style food support consistent with our cultural consuming style. The public tea wedding ceremony showcased our respect for the parents. And lastly, we provided our guests chopsticks. We all thought it was a fun present, and many of our guests did not own any, so it was obviously a nice cultural touch.
